Flight Test
At Contrails Independent Consulting, LLC we provide expert programmatic guidance, consultation services, and flight test technical advice to our government clients. We are currently serving the Air Force Research Laboratory Operations Directorate (AFRL), PMs, test managers, and many other test teams across the AFRL enterprise. As SME’s in flight test, we advise the appointed Configuration Control Board, Safety Review Board, and Technical Review Board Chairmen. As leaders in the industry, our team equips our clients with mission critical support by leveraging years of experience in flight test procedures and processes, along with test and safety plan development.
Flight Operations
Contrails Independent Consulting, LLC currently provides flight operations guidance and consultation to the AFRL Flight Operations Division. Our skilled team assists in the development of policy and procedures for manned and unmanned aircraft over a wide range of flight activities.
Program Management
Contrails Independent Consulting, LLC currently supports Program Managers in the execution of flight test and evaluation activities across AFRL. Our specialists facilitate the process of evaluating test results for effectiveness and suitability while providing recommendations on continued testing and development of numerous systems for AFRL PMs. We strive to create and maintain collaborative relationships with program stakeholders across DoD, government contractors, and other mission partners.
UAS Integration in the NAS
Contrails Independent Consulting, LLC is currently supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Ground Based Detect and Avoid (GBDAA) Program Office in the development of an AFRL GBDAA system. This system enables flight operations of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Beyond the Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) in the National Airspace (NAS). This is also known throughout the community as “UAS integration in the NAS.” Our innovative professionals are at the leading edge of FAA safety planning and policy of UAS operations in the NAS.
